Mental Health Research Award Receipient!
Last week at the #CIMVHR 2019 Forum, I won the Homewood Mental Health Treatment Award for best presentation focusing on improving or innovating clinical mental health practice. The podium presentation titled, “After the Alarm: Navigating community assets to cope with occupational stress,” is from the After the Alarm study on how volunteer firefighters in Nova Scotia cope with occupational stress after a traumatic event.
A HUGE thank you to everyone who participated in the survey and shared the survey online. Let's keep shedding light on the mental health and wellbeing of volunteer firefighters! Also a big thank you to @FIREWELL for their support to do this research.
